That is exactly why we treat the details you share with us carefully. This Privacy Policy explains what Kind Stitch collects when you visit https://kindstitch.shop or place an order, why we need it, who else touches it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Kind Stitch is located at 5510 Rosewood Street, Roeland Park, KS 66205, US. If any part of this page is unclear, write to <a href=\"mailto:support@kindstitch.shop\">support@kindstitch.shop</a> and a real person will answer within 24 hours on business days.</p>\n<section class=\"policy-summary\">\n<h2>Your privacy at a glance</h2>\n<ul>\n<li>We collect only what it takes to embroider your order, ship it and help you afterward: contact details, addresses, order lines and the personalization text you type.</li>\n<li>We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade customer lists.</li>\n<li>Payment details are entered with and handled by the payment provider shown at checkout. Who we are and what this policy covers</h2>\n<p>Kind Stitch sells embroidered matching apparel for couples and families: hoodies, sweatshirts, tees, a kids crewneck, a baby bodysuit, a cuffed beanie and two-piece pair sets. We sell to customers in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and every order ships from the USA. This policy applies to the website kindstitch.shop, to the emails we exchange with you, and to the order records we keep. It does not cover other websites you reach through a link on our pages; those sites have their own policies.</p>\n<p>When this page says &#8220;we&#8221;, &#8220;us&#8221; or &#8220;our&#8221;, it means Kind Stitch. When it says &#8220;you&#8221;, it means anyone who visits the site, places an order, receives a gift from us, or writes to our support inbox.</p>\n<h2>2. The information we collect</h2>\n<h3>2.1 Details you give us when you order</h3>\n<p>To place an order you fill in the checkout form. That gives us your name, email address, billing address and shipping address, plus a phone number if the checkout form asks for one. We also record what you ordered: each product, size, color, quantity and price. If Maya orders the Moon half of a hoodie set in L and Jordan&#8217;s Star half in S, our record shows two order lines, two sizes and one shipping address.</p>\n<h3>2.2 Personalization text</h3>\n<p>Many of our pieces carry names, initials, a date, a family name with an &#8220;Est.&#8221; year, sleeve text, a thread color and a chest position. Whatever you type into those fields is saved with your order, because our embroidery team needs it to stitch the garment exactly as written. A roman numeral date such as XII.VI.MMXIX or a line like &#8220;The Parkers, Est. 2016&#8221; may feel personal, and it is. We use it only to produce your order and to answer questions about it.</p>\n<h3>2.3 Gift recipients</h3>\n<p>When you send a gift, for example a sweatshirt to a grandparent in Canada, you give us the recipient&#8217;s name and address. We use those details only to deliver that parcel. Please share them only if you are comfortable that the recipient would expect a delivery from you.</p>\n<h3>2.4 Account details</h3>\n<p>If you create a customer account, we store your login email and a securely hashed password, along with your saved addresses and order history. You can use the store without an account by checking out as a guest.</p>\n<h3>2.5 Messages you send us</h3>\n<p>When you email <a href=\"mailto:support@kindstitch.shop\">support@kindstitch.shop</a> or open a ticket through our <a href=\"/submit-ticket/\">Submit a Ticket</a> page, we keep the message and anything attached to it so we can follow the conversation. Some customers send a photo of a garment that arrived damaged, or a picture to show how a thread color looks on a dark hoodie. We use those photos only for that request and delete them 30 days after the related order is delivered.</p>\n<h3>2.6 Technical information</h3>\n<p>Like any website, our server receives basic technical information when you load a page: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. Our hosting provider keeps these server logs for security and troubleshooting. We do not use them to build a profile of you.</p>\n<h3>2.7 What we do not collect</h3>\n<ul>\n<li>We do not ask for, receive or store full card numbers or bank account numbers.</li>\n<li>We do not offer photo uploads on product pages, so no images reach us through the site.</li>\n<li>We do not collect government ID numbers, health information or precise location data.</li>\n<li>We do not buy contact lists or personal data from other companies.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>3. How we use your information</h2>\n<table class=\"policy-table\">\n<caption>Why we use each type of information</caption>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\">Information</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">What we use it for</th>\n</tr>\n</thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Name, email, addresses</td>\n<td>Confirming your order, shipping it, sending order and delivery emails, arranging returns and refunds</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Order lines and personalization text</td>\n<td>Embroidering each piece exactly as typed, packing the right sizes together, handling changes requested within 24 hours</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Support messages and emailed photos</td>\n<td>Answering your question, assessing a problem with a delivered item, keeping a record of what we agreed</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Account login and saved addresses</td>\n<td>Letting you sign in, view past orders and check out faster</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Server logs and essential cookies</td>\n<td>Keeping the cart and checkout working, protecting the site against abuse and fraud</td>\n</tr>\n</tbody>\n</table>\n<p>We also keep order and payment records because tax and accounting rules require businesses to keep them. We do not use your personalization text, gift messages or support conversations for advertising.</p>\n<h3>3.1 Emails we send</h3>\n<p>Order emails are part of the service: an order confirmation, a notice when your parcel leaves us, a tracking number when one is available, and messages about returns or refunds. We do not currently send a marketing newsletter. If we start one, it will be opt-in, every marketing email will carry an unsubscribe link, and this page will say so before the first one goes out.</p>\n<h2>4. Payments</h2>\n<p>The payment options available are shown at checkout. When you pay, you enter your payment details with the payment provider that processes the transaction, not into a Kind Stitch database. The provider tells us whether the payment succeeded and gives us a transaction reference so we can match it to your order and send refunds back to the original payment method. The provider handles your payment information under its own privacy policy, which it makes available during the payment step.</p>\n<p>You can read more about the checkout process on our <a href=\"/payment-methods/\">Payment Methods</a> page.</p>\n<h2>5. Who we share information with</h2>\n<p>We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run the store, and only the part each one needs to do its job.</p>\n<table class=\"policy-table\">\n<caption>Service providers and what they receive</caption>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\">Type of provider</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">What they receive</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Why</th>\n</tr>\n</thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Payment provider shown at checkout</td>\n<td>Order total, billing details you enter with them</td>\n<td>To process your payment and any refund</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Shipping carriers</td>\n<td>Recipient name, shipping address, parcel details, and a phone number or email where the carrier needs one for delivery</td>\n<td>To deliver your parcel and return parcels</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Production partners</td>\n<td>Product, size, color and personalization text for each order line</td>\n<td>To embroider and pack your order</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Website hosting and email providers</td>\n<td>Data stored on the site and messages sent to our inbox</td>\n<td>To keep the store online and our email working</td>\n</tr>\n</tbody>\n</table>\n<p>These providers may use the information only to deliver their service to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to respond to a valid legal request, to protect customers or the store from fraud, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business, in which case the new owner would be bound by this policy for the information it receives.</p>\n<p><strong>We do not sell your personal information</strong>, and we do not share it with advertisers for targeted advertising.</p>\n<h2>6. Cookies</h2>\n<p>A cookie is a small file your browser keeps so a website can remember you between pages. The site runs on standard e-commerce software and uses only the cookies that software needs to function.</p>\n<table class=\"policy-table\">\n<caption>Cookies used on kindstitch.shop</caption>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\">Cookie group</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Purpose</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">How long it lasts</th>\n</tr>\n</thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Cart and session cookies (woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart, wp_woocommerce_session_)</td>\n<td>Remember what is in your cart and keep checkout working as you move between pages</td>\n<td>The browsing session, or up to about two days for the session cookie</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Login cookies (wordpress_logged_in_ and related)</td>\n<td>Keep you signed in to your account</td>\n<td>Until you sign out, or up to about two weeks if you choose to stay signed in</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Security cookies set by the payment step</td>\n<td>Help the payment provider prevent fraud during payment</td>\n<td>Set and controlled by the provider</td>\n</tr>\n</tbody>\n</table>\n<p>We do not run advertising pixels or third-party analytics on the site. If we add analytics, we will update this page before it goes live and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout will not work without the essential ones.</p>\n<h2>7. How long we keep information</h2>\n<table class=\"policy-table\">\n<caption>Retention periods</caption>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\">Information</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">How long we keep it</th>\n</tr>\n</thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Photos you email to us</td>\n<td>Deleted 30 days after the related order is delivered</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Order records, including personalization text</td>\n<td>As long as tax and accounting law requires, then deleted or made anonymous</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Support emails and tickets</td>\n<td>As long as they are useful to resolve your request and any follow-up on the same order</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Customer account</td>\n<td>Until you ask us to close it</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Server logs</td>\n<td>For the period set by our hosting provider for security purposes</td>\n</tr>\n</tbody>\n</table>\n<p>Keeping order records for a while has a practical side for you, too. If a matching set needs a return within 60 days of delivery, or you want to reorder the same family design after your little one outgrows the 3T tee, we can find the exact spelling and thread color you chose.</p>\n<h2>8. How we protect your information</h2>\n<p>The whole site runs over encrypted HTTPS. Access to order data is limited to the people who need it to embroider, ship and support your order. Admin accounts use strong passwords, and software on the site is kept updated. No system is perfectly secure, so please never email us passwords or full card numbers. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will tell you when the law requires notice and explain what we are doing about it.</p>\n<h2>9. Your rights and choices</h2>\n<h3>9.1 Requests anyone can make</h3>\n<p>Wherever you live, you can email <a href=\"mailto:support@kindstitch.shop\">support@kindstitch.shop</a> to ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct a mistake (for example a misspelled name in your saved address), delete your account, or stop using your information for anything beyond completing an existing order. Please write from the email address used on your order so we can confirm the request is really yours. We will not charge you for a reasonable request and we will not treat you differently for making one.</p>\n<h3>9.2 Customers in the United States</h3>\n<p>Several US states give residents specific privacy rights, such as the right to know what personal information a business collects, to access and delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or use for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of today. You can still use any right your state law gives you by emailing us, and an authorized agent may make a request for you if they show they have your permission.</p>\n<h3>9.3 Customers in Canada, Australia and New Zealand</h3>\n<p>Privacy laws in Canada, Australia and New Zealand give you the right to request access to the personal information a business holds about you and to ask for it to be corrected. We honor those requests by email. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the privacy regulator in your country. Because we ship from the USA and our service providers may store data there, your information is processed in the United States.</p>\n<h3>9.4 How we answer</h3>\n<p>We reply to every privacy request within 24 hours on business days to confirm we have it, and we complete it within the time the law of your place of residence allows. Some records, such as order and payment records we must keep for tax purposes, cannot be deleted right away; if that applies, we will tell you what we are keeping and why.</p>\n<h2>10. Children</h2>\n<p>We make toddler tees and baby bodysuits, but our store is meant for adults shopping for their families. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A child&#8217;s first name typed into a personalization field by a parent is used only to embroider that garment. If you believe a child has given us personal information directly, email us and we will delete it.</p>\n<h2>11. Changes to this policy</h2>\n<p>We will update this page when our practices change, for example if we add analytics, a newsletter or a new payment option, and the &#8220;Last updated&#8221; date at the top will change. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you by email or with a notice on the site before it takes effect.</p>\n<h2>12. Contact us about privacy</h2>\n<p>Email <a href=\"mailto:support@kindstitch.shop\">support@kindstitch.shop</a> with the subject &#8220;Privacy request&#8221;. We are an email-only store, so there is no phone line or chat. You can also write to Kind Stitch, 5510 Rosewood Street, Roeland Park, KS 66205, US.</p>\n<p>Related pages: <a href=\"/terms-of-service/\">Terms of Service</a>, <a href=\"/contact-us/\">Contact Us</a>, <a href=\"/shipping-delivery/\">Shipping &amp; Delivery</a> and <a href=\"/returns-exchanges-policy/\">Returns &amp; Exchanges</a>.</p>\n","visible_characters":13314,"meta_description":"How Kind Stitch handles your order details, personalization text and emailed photos, which cookies the cart needs, and how to access or delete your data.","parent":null,"published_at":"2026-11-01T13:06:50+00:00","updated_at":"2026-11-01T23:53:28+00:00"}}
